Great restaurant in the middle of Ruit! The restaurant impresses with its sophisticated Swabian cuisine with that certain something. The dining room is inviting and cozy. Due to the limited space, reservations should definitely be made. The friendly owners complete the consistently positive impression. Always my pleasure.

You should make a reservation otherwise it can happen that there is no more space available that is also the reason why I cannot rate the food.

Cozy friendly conditions, great food

For me it was really a successful evening with my best friends in the vaulted cellar of the restaurant. The food left nothing to be desired. My salmon was a real culinary delight with Italian ribbon noodles and cherry tomatoes. The local Swabian dishes such as onion roast and Maultaschen were also excellent. If I had another baptism, I would book the entire vaulted cellar 😻👏

Last Saturday there were four of us in the old village school for dinner - all about top class !! - Great selection of food and drinks - All dishes prepared perfectly and taste sensational - Service to feel good Tip: The "poor knights" and the great schnapps card to end a wonderful evening!

Celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at 9. Had an incredibly nice and long evening. The food was incredibly good and the staff very friendly and courteous. The prices are reasonable in terms of quality. Would love to come back!

Very cozy restaurant. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Food was delicious 😋. We were there with a group of 12 men and everything went very quickly.

We recently celebrated our wedding in the old village school. Everything was as discussed in the preliminary talk. The guests were all full and were 100% positive about the food and the excellent service. We thank the girls who have provided us so great and have brought everything smoothly on the stage. Thanks to the chefs who have conjured a spiky menu. We like to come back and enjoy it.

Good atmosfere.

Granted, for that I live practically around the corner, I took a long time to visit the village parlor with a new owner. I am delighted that the founder, Mr. Wolfgang Stecher has found such a high-quality and motivated successor. The village school takes care of your name and I wish all of you a healthy and happy future.

A really good restaurant. Clear recommendation + very friendly, competent service + fresh ingredients + short, clear menu & daily / seasonal dishes + hot dishes and well preheated plates + short waiting times + friendly atmosphere, nice decor, very clean and tidy + you can choose between large and small portions - Prices a bit too high, 115 € for 5 people without starter / dessert - a little tight in space, a little loud when the room is full The food is good, but not exceptional. A bit too expensive for that. Therefore 4 stars.
